On Saturday, June 17, 2023, we proudly hosted our Inaugural Gala Dinner, marking a memorable milestone for our organisation. The event was a resounding success, uniting a diverse group of professionals who shared a common goal of fostering connections and making a positive impact. On Wednesday 16 November 2022, we had the absolute pleasure of hearing from Keynote Speaker, Keith Abraham at the Victoria Park Corporate Breakfast Series on what drives us to achieve our most important goals. He got us to complete the GoalDriver Assessment providing us with some additional insights and ideas on how to bring the best out of ourselves. On Wednesday 14 September 2022, we had the absolute pleasure of hearing from Global Speaker Anthony Ikin at the Victoria Park Corporate Breakfast Series. He got us up and moving, learning *that* iconic Lizzo dance as a way to unleash the confident person in all of us. Thank you to Anthony for a fun morning of confidence building!
On Friday 11 November 2022, we attended the Lord Mayor’s Multicultural Awards for Business. We celebrated the creativity, innovation and resilience of Brisbane’s incredible multicultural businesses. Proceeds from the night will go towards supporting the Lord Mayor’s Multicultural Business Scholarship Program, which provides aspiring business leaders with vital training and support to help them start or expand their own businesses in Brisbane. Congratulations to all the award winners!

These awards recognise the best and most innovative entrepreneurs in Brisbane with the energy, drive and passion to contribute to the community in Brisbane. We’re very happy to announce that The Multicultural Professional Network has partnered with PowerToFly the global community dedicated to fast-tracking economic equality by connecting talent to upskilling opportunities and roles in highly visible sectors to attract a more diverse pipeline of talent to in-demand careers. Both organisations are aligned on giving people the tools to launch the career they want, and a partnership with PowerToFly is a natural fit.
On Saturday 10 September 2022, we hosted a wholesome Brunch with some wonderful professionals. There were a variety of conversations from business mindset, career development and entrepreneurship! There was laughter, celebrations, and some great connections were made!
On Friday 26 August 2022, we welcomed a number of professionals, for our Lunch N Learn session as part of Multicultural Queensland Month. There were so many inspiring conversations, including a session and chat with our Guest Speaker Annette Hurley, Managing Director of The Career College, Life Strategist & Transformational Speaker on Diversity vs Inclusion in the workplace. Thank you to the Brisbane Business Hub for hosting us!
