Our Social Impact

Welcome to our Social Impact section, where our commitment to creating positive change is at the forefront of everything we do. Each year, The MPN nominates a focused charity to support our social impact initiatives, ensuring that our efforts are continually aligned with our vision to drive positive change and create a more equitable and sustainable future for all. With a strong emphasis on evidence and data-driven decision-making, our donations are strategically directed towards charities that align with the UN Sustainable Development Goals. These organisations are not only dedicated to addressing pressing societal issues but have also been empirically recognised by external charity evaluators for their exceptional effectiveness in driving meaningful change. Currently, our recipient charities include:

  • Vinnies Australia
  • The Smith Family
  • Volunteering Queensland
  • Mental Health Foundation Australia
  • Women's Legal Service Qld
  • FareShare

Impact Highlights

Proceeds from our 2023 Gala Dinner benefitted The Smith Family's mission to support disadvantaged children through their innovative learning support and mentoring programs. These programs play a vital role in empowering children to overcome educational barriers and build brighter futures. The success of the Gala Dinner was a testament to the power of collective action and the spirit of giving back. Through events like these, we can continue supporting initiatives that create lasting change and opportunities for a brighter future. We are grateful to everyone who made this event a success

"A big thank you for your incredible support through your Gala Dinner to help Australian children overcome educational inequality caused by poverty, so that they can thrive now and into their futures. Thank you so much! Your incredible efforts have helped 1,096 children through The Smith Family’s Learning for Life program, providing practical, educational and financial assistance, helping to create a world where every child has the opportunity to change their future. Thank you once again for your support this year. We couldn't continue the work we do without you" - The Smith Family [Community Fundraising Team]

You’ve made it! Over the past month, your incredible efforts have raised essential funds to help children experiencing poverty across Australia. Thanks to your dedication, these kids now have access to vital learning support that will help them succeed in school and build brighter futures. Your support enables children in need to reach their potential, fulfil their dreams, and aspire to a better tomorrow. We couldn’t be prouder of everything you’ve achieved during The Dream Run. Well done, The Multicultural Professional Network! Together, your generous support will fund essential educational and mentoring programs, providing opportunities [Karina and The Dream Run Team]

We’re excited to share the outstanding results of our recent corporate volunteering experience at FareShare, Australia’s largest charity kitchen. Guided by FareShare’s skilled chefs, our team worked together during a rewarding half-day shift, preparing, cooking, and packing over 489 nutritious meals. These meals will support 1,467 people in need, making a meaningful difference in their lives. A heartfelt thank you to everyone who participated, dedicating their time and effort to this impactful cause. Your generosity will leave a lasting positive impact on our community. It was a truly inspiring experience, reminding us of the incredible power of collective effort
