The MPN Professional Impact Awards 2024 celebrated the remarkable achievements of our vibrant and diverse community, highlighting a broad spectrum of professionals, entrepreneurs and organisations from across Australia. Presented by Councillor Vicki Howard, Civic Cabinet Chair for Community and the Arts and Councillor for Central, alongside Dr Faiza El-Higzi, Chairperson of Radio 4EB, the awards were a standout event in our networking calendar. This special occasion honoured the outstanding contributions of individuals and organisations from various sectors within the MPN community and beyond, recognising their impact. The 2024 award categories were the Professional of the Year Award, which celebrates exceptional professionals or organisations who have attained outstanding achievements in industry, entrepreneurship or small business ownership; the CEO’s Award, recognising an individual, organisation or current member who has demonstrated strong and consistent commitment to The MPN’s activities; and the Social Impact Award, acknowledging emerging leaders or organisations dedicated to advancing social and environmental sustainability through their expertise and innovative actions. The 2024 winners are highlighted below.
Recognised for her advocacy in equity and accessibility, including expanding access to legal assistance and playing a key role in the groundbreaking RISE project supporting CARM women
Recognised for providing free styling and employment support services, helping over 1,000 Queenslanders annually overcome barriers to employment with tools and professional confidence
Asteria Grace is recognised for her work as a model, author, speaker, and CEO of Access Advocacy. Her tireless advocacy for disability inclusion is reshaping societal views and promoting equity for all
